He received his PhD from Southeast University in Nanjing, China, and has been a Visiting Fellow at the Microelectronics Research Center at Cambridge University, as well as a Senior Scientist and Principal Scientist at Central Microstructure Facility in Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.
